Shindo Wadokai Karate & Kickboxing Association known previously as the Shindo Wadokai Karate Association was officially formed as a volunteer organisation in 2013.  In 2021, the club became a professional organisation with Chief Instructor Shihan Pete Fawbert taking the helm.  In 2023, Kickboxing classes were introduced at some of our locations following recent qualifications in this martial art style.

We run Karate Classes in Sherborne, Kickboxing Classes in Sherborne.

We run Karate Classes in Aberdare, Kickboxing Classes in Aberdare.

We run Karate Classes in Abergavenny.

Wadoryu Karate is the prominent style taught at the Shindo Wadokai Karate and Kickboxing Association.  Other styles have influenced the teachings at the club due to the Instructors background.  There are elements of Shitoryu and Gojuryu Karate courtesy of Shihan Pete Fawbert as well as elements of Shotokan Karate courtesy of Sensei Geoff Jones.

Although we are a traditional karate club, we practice full contact as a means of true self protection.  We also specialise in modern and realistic self defence courtesy of the flavoured backgrounds of Shihan Pete and Sensei Geoff.

We welcome all to our club from the age of 5.  All abilities too.  We do not discriminate against anyone wishing to enjoy our family friendly karate and kickboxing club.  Its the best place to come and enjoy martial arts and get fit in the process.
